Babs Do Update – October 2015

Posted by BabsDoProd - in Uncategorized - No Comments

Hi, everybody, it’s been a little while since the last update but we have very good reasons and very good news to announce. We’ve released a new film! To celebrate the release of the latest entry in one of our favorite videogame franchises, “The Fatal Frame” series, we put together a new media project for it entitled, “The Review – A Fatal Frame Fan Film”. The film is a horror-comedy with Patrick and I playing versions of ourselves and the synopsis is below:

The film follows Zack Birlew, real life co-president of the independent production company, Babs Do Productions, as he tries his hand at an online videogame review based on one of his most favorite horror videogame franchises, the “Fatal Frame” series. Shortly after completing his first entry in the review, unexplained events begin to take place and ghosts begin to attack. Zack tries to make sense of it all and with no help from his brother, co-president Patrick Birlew, he has to unravel the truth behind the haunting and why the ghosts beckon him to continue his review. Scares and humor abound in “The Review – A Fatal Frame Fan Film”!

It was a blast making the film and I’ve been toying with doing some sort of little behind the scenes documentary for it but it depends on the popularity of the videos. That’s another thing, we wanted to release the entire film to coincide with the US release of “Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water” for the Wii U but we didn’t want to rush our 3D effects so we decided to experiment and try releasing the film in episodes. The second episode is almost done and the third and fourth will soon follow in early November. We hope you guys really like it and if you have any questions or comments, please, feel free to let us know on our various social media pages as well as the Youtube page and the new Facebook page we made for the film.
